Journey cake

Hey Sugar Plum,

Welcome to the Heart of our Heritage, a place where every dish tells a story, and every bite takes you on a journey through generations of tradition and love. Our family’s kitchen is more than just a space for cooking; it’s a reflection of our heritage, where each meal is an opportunity to share a piece of our culture with you. Whether you’re here for a simple comfort dish or a celebration of flavors, we pour our hearts into every recipe.

At Heritage Kitchen, everything begins — and continues — with family. Cooking side by side has always been our way of bonding, learning, and honoring the generations before us. From grandma Ello’s loving hands to today’s shared table, we’ve passed down not just recipes, but memories, values, and stories that shape who we are.

This spirit lives on through Kénila, our head chef, who took her very first culinary steps with a treasured family classic: the Journey Cake. Taught to her by her father, who himself learnt from his grandmother, this simple yet meaningful dish embodies the heart of our kitchen — love, legacy, and the joy of sharing.

And today, we’re passing it on to you — one bite, one memory at a time. Here’s how to make baked Journey Cake.

The Journey Cake, is a traditional Saint Martin favorite. It’s more than just food; it’s a connection to the past, a reminder of the simpler times when cooking was about nourishment, love, and family. Today, we’re excited to share this piece of our heritage with you.
